Job Purpose
The Field Technician plays a key role in delivering technical support and service under KRH’s partnership with Ecolab. The role includes conducting water testing, supporting pre-sales technical site evaluations, and ensuring post-sales service delivery. Responsibilities also cover the deployment, servicing, and maintenance of Ecolab equipment and solutions across client sites, ensuring optimal system performance, troubleshooting issues, training client personnel, and delivering technical service excellence in hygiene, water treatment, and chemical dosing systems. The technician ensures timely client support and contributes to customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to use water testing kits and interpret results (e.g., pH, conductivity, hardness)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in system installation and repair
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools for reporting
- Able to read P&ID diagrams and basic technical schematics
- Comfortable working independently in field environments

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Eliminate reliance on third-party labs by using in-house water testing kits and protocols.
- Conduct client site surveys to assess water systems and infrastructure as part of pre-sales support.
- Provide technical feedback and insights to the sales team for accurate proposal development.
- Support installation and commissioning of Ecolab systems (dosing pumps, water softeners, etc.).
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as per client agreements and service contracts.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and resolve issues on-site promptly.
- Maintain service logs, inventory of spare parts, and generate service reports.
- Educate clients’ teams on operating Ecolab equipment and maintaining basic system hygiene.
- Coordinate with logistics and procurement for timely material supply.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental standards required by KRH and Ecolab.
- Perform any other technical or field support tasks as assigned.
- Provide basic operational training and guidance to client personnel on using Ecolab systems safely and effectively.

Job Specification/ Requirements
2+ years’ experience in technical field service or chemical handling roles, ideally within water treatment or hygiene industry
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical)
