Job Purpose
The MEP Department Head (A/C, Plumbing, Electrical) is responsible for leading and managing the full lifecycle of EPC projects and maintenance , from initial planning to successful completion. This role ensures projects are delivered within scope, budget, and schedule, while meeting quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The position requires close coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders. The MEP Department Head also provides strategic leadership, resource planning, and effective communication to drive project success.

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical,or related Engineering.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas or EPC sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale MEP projects, including fabrication, procurement, and construction management.
- Excellent decision-making, leadership, and team management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in planning and executing large-scale, multi-phase projects.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills for working with employees, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the MEP department (A/C, Plumbing, Electrical) and ensure all projects are executed within schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Review, approve, and oversee designs, technical drawings, and method statements related to A/C (DX, MSU, CW systems), plumbing, and electrical works.
- Provide overall leadership and direction to the MEP department (A/C, Plumbing, Electrical) ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Develop departmental strategies, objectives, and KPIs aligned with company goals.
- Lead planning and execution of MEP works across multiple EPC projects.
- Review and approve project designs, drawings, and technical submittals.
- Allocate resources (manpower, equipment, materials) efficiently and monitor utilization.
- Establish and enforce QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance with international codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for MEP-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies across all sites.
- Conduct regular review meetings with project teams, providing guidance and resolving critical issues.
- Collaborate with procurement, workshop, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Control departmental budget, monitor project costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare and present management reports on project progress, risks, revenue, and cash flow.
- Lead, mentor, and develop project engineers, supervisors, and technical staff to strengthen departmental capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement by introducing innovative practices, technologies, and project management methods.
